TESTIMONIALS
I know I still have 2 kids at Westminster but picking my son up on the last day was tough! I can't believe it's been four years and he is done. :( Thank you for all you have done for him. He has such a positive association with school because of you and the staff at Westminster. <3

This email made me tear up because it was actually my first realization that my little buddy is almost done with Kindergarten. I can't believe how much <he> has grown and learned! Moving <him> into Westminster was the best decision my husband and I made all year long. He transformed from a boy who was crying every morning, to someone who woke up and couldn't wait to go to school. I can't thank you enough for welcoming <him> with open arms every day and teaching him in the most fun and exciting ways. Westminster Nursery School will forever be held in our memories as an incredibly warm, nurturing, and wonderful place for our youngest child. <He> will truly be sad to leave your classroom on Friday but will remember you always.
Thank you,
<Parent from Berkeley Heights>
My daughter loves it here. She is learning so much.

I toured a few schools and the minute I walked into WNS I knew that this was where my children belonged. The staff are all wonderful and get to know the children personally. My children have had several different teachers and they are all my favorites! I think the program is a great balance of learning about themselves, each other, the world around them, as well as the ‘educational’ things we expect them to learn at school. I will miss bringing my children here when they go on to Kindergarten, and it will always be a special place for us.

My family and I could not be happier with Westminster. My husband and I continue to be impressed by the parent communication, as well as the kind and gentle staff members. After pick up daily, my children can’t stop talking about their day spent singing, painting, learning to write their name, and playing with the parachute. I would highly recommend Westminster to anyone looking for a preschool for their child.

I love Westminster because the director, teachers and staff really pay a lot of attention to the details of the children. Details that may be missed by busy parents, which is the reason we like Westminster. My son loves it here.

Our association with Westminster Nursery School began when we decided that we want to give our son a nice neighborhood to grow up and moved to Berkeley Heights. The previous owners of our home said they would recommend WNS as they were very happy with the school. So before moving we called Mrs. Kathy Sang (the Director) and she was able to offer a seat to my 3 year old. We were new to the town but felt like the school was a known place. Every teacher you meet always greeted you with the warmth as if they are saying we are here for your child. We both travel to the city for work but never felt that I am leaving my child in an unknown place. I could call anytime to check on my son. I think without Westminster’s support our adaption would not be that easy.
My Child is now 5 and goes to the Kindergarten Enrichment program offered by the WNS. This is a very well designed program for kindergarten kids. I am really looking forward for another fruitful academic year.
We love the school and are very proud to be a part of the Westminster Family.

My kids have gone/go to Westminster. Westminster effectively teaches through play and really develops the child's creativity. It is a very nurturing environment and the teachers are great. As part of their main curriculum, they have a movement class, which focuses in gross motor development (like preschool gym class) and there is a separate teacher for that who is wonderful. There are 10 kids per class for the 3's and 4's and 7 kids per class for the 2 1/2 program.
There is a new director this year, Kathy Sang, who has made some great improvements in a short period of time. She was the previous director for Mountain Top Preschool in Warren. In addition to their basic program and regular lunch bunch program, they are offering early drop off, extended day options until 1pm, and cooking and science enrichments.
We have been happy there and even re-evaluated when our 2nd child was ready for preschool and are happy with our decision.

I just want you to know that I think you and Maria have done a fantastic job with the Kindergarten Enrichment program. My son absolutely loves it and talks about it constantly. I also appreciate the letter that Maria sends out - it helps to understand what my son is talking about and gives good detail about what they are doing. My son is already developing in leaps and bounds and he feels so proud of himself. I love it!

I want to thank you for such an enjoyable first year. My daughter has grown so much and she made many friends and had a lot of fun in her class. Your school is truly a wonderful nurturing learning environment. All of your newsletters and articles spoke of ideas and concepts that are very important to me. Learning through play and creative expression are so important to me. I am proud to enroll my daughter for the upcoming school year and excited to see what fun stuff she brings home.

Thank you so much for 6 wonderful years at Westminster. We couldn’t have asked for a better educational start for our children. We will miss you all very much but have many fond memories of Westminster.

I couldn’t be more pleased with my daughter’s first experience at preschool. Everyone there is so wonderful.

Thank you all for everything you have done over the past 2 years to give my daughter such a wonderful preschool experience. As a 1st grade teacher, I had very high expectations. I wasn’t concerned about the academic component… teaching a child letters and numbers is the easy part. But giving a child confidence, love for learning and a sense of security is the hard part. You all exceeded everything I had hoped for. Each of you showed my daughter such love and concern for her well being. She smiled on her way in and out of school every day. She cried so hard on the last day with such sadness leaving a place she really loves. I cried just as hard, but with happiness, knowing that her Westminster experience will be with her forever.

This is just a note to thank you, wholeheartedly, for taking such loving care of my babies. I chose your school for my daughter, all those years ago, because I identified with the climate. Having been a 1st grade teacher, I recognized lots of things I wanted to see when I looked around during the tour. I got that and SO MUCH MORE!! Your school provided a love of learning in a nurturing, secure environment. It really feels like a big family with great communication! It was with peace of mind and trust that I was able to leave my children in your very competent hands and for that I am eternally grateful! Thank you for not only doing your job well, but for going the extra mile.

How can I possibly express all that I am feeling as I contemplate my final days at Westminster? You are an intrinsic part of the tapestry of my children’s lives, and that fabric is so much richer, stronger and more beautiful because of you.
I adore these children, and I will never be able to express my profound appreciation for the many gifts that you shared with them. You gave them unwavering, unending, unconditional love and because of it, they have compassion, confidence and an ability to find comfort in new situations and meeting new people, especially at school. They are better, happier, more well-rounded children because of all of you – how can I ever thank you for that precious, priceless gift?
I am in awe of all of you, and I can only hope that their future teachers will offer them a hint of the passion, the kindness, the patience, the acceptance and the love that you did.
Every mom knows her children are special, but when other people let a child know they are special, it resonates in a much deeper way. You gave my children that gift, and I have struggled to say thank you, but it just doesn’t feel like enough! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! You have been a blessing in my family’s life, and we will miss you. I will miss you. It seems like yesterday I sat on those stairs outside my oldest daughter’s classroom, and now my fourth child is graduating. What a wonderful ride it’s been!
From the bottom of my heart, I thank you all…

On behalf of our children, we would like to thank you for all you’ve done. You have set a solid foundation for their future. We are eternally grateful for the loving care you had extended to them. We cannot help but appreciate how much our children have grown while in your care. Our children started out shy and scared. They will leave Westminster cheerful, full of energy fueled by the experiences they’ve had under your guidance. You did everything to make their first formal education experience a pleasant one. We will never forget this and make it a point to remind them constantly about all of you. You have affected not only our children but us too. We now know that there are people out there whom we can entrust our children to, who care about them unconditionally. Hopefully they would have teachers in the years to come who care about them as much as you all did. Our only regret is that they cannot stay any longer. If there is anything we can do for you, please do not hesitate to let us know.
Yours truly,
M.C. from Berkeley Heights
I would like to thank you for two wonderful years of pre-school for my daughter. I knew before she could actually attend Westminster, that is where I wanted her to go. So I’m glad we waited until she could attend there. She has grown so much over these past two years and has learned a lot at Westminster. All the teachers and helpers are terrific. She really enjoyed going to school every day and Westminster was a great start to her long school career. Thank you for everything!
S.K. from Berkeley Heights
Thank you so much for everything you have done for our children over the years. We have all loved our time at Westminster. You’ve done a fantastic job as director and have helped to make Westminster the special place that it is. Thanks for everything!

I just wanted to say thank you, thank you, and thank you again for building such a wonderful program at Westminster. My daughter is so lucky to have experienced a creative, fun-filled and developmentally appropriate pre-school. She is walking away with such fond memories and great friends. Thanks for all you do!

I just wanted to thank you so much for all of the hard work you put into your spring camp program. It was beyond my expectations and my son enjoyed it thoroughly.
Once again your commitment to your school and the children came shining through. You are truly an example of an extraordinary preschool. I feel very fortunate that my son had the opportunity to experience preschool with you. We will both miss you very much.
Thank you again for all that you do at Westminster.

Thank you for a fantastic 2 years that you have given my daughter. I love the way you have helped to keep the school safe and warm, just as it has been for the last 8 years since my oldest started there. You have maintained a “fairy tale” place for the children that doesn’t exist in the real world. It’s a place they can grow and learn – the old fashioned way – with love and caring! Thank you for that and keep up that tradition for the next generation.
