Kathy Sang

Mrs. Kathy Sang has had the privilege of being the director of Westminster Nursery School since 2013. Together with a team of amazing and creative teachers, she is committed to providing your family with a loving and developmentally sound foundation for a lifetime of learning. At WNS, we strive to create and maintain an environment where your child can grow and thrive while exploring the world around them. Thank you for sharing your precious children with us.  Mrs. Sang has been in the early childhood field for over 35 fun filled years. She is passionate about early childhood education and advocating for children and their families.  She earned a Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education and 23 graduate credits in Early Childhood.  Her goal is to provide an inviting environment where children feel safe and supported, develop a love of learning, and gain self-confidence as learners and valued members of our community.

Karen Losada

Mrs. Karen Losada, our 5-day Pre-K four-year-old teacher, earned her B.S. from Montclair State University and received her Preschool through Grade-3 teaching certificate in Early Childhood Education at the College of Saint Elizabeth.  She is continuing her studies in a Masters Program for Education with a concentration in Special Education.  She has been with Westminster Nursery School since 2015.  Mrs. Losada lives in Basking Ridge with her husband and four children.  In her spare time, she loves reading, dancing, and going to the beach with her family!  She is passionate about teaching young children.

Sue Bocian

As a parent of two children who attended Westminster, Mrs. Sue Bocian loved the school environment and was thrilled to become part of the staff a few years later.  She has been with Westminster for over twenty years.  She started out as an assistant and was the "lunch bunch" teacher.  She is a coordinator and teacher of Westminster's very popular Spring Camp program. She has enjoyed teaching the 3s for over fifteen years and is looking forward to being part of your child's first school experience!

Nancy Ripps

Mrs. Nancy Ripps has been an early childhood educator for over 20 years.  Mrs. Ripps has an undergraduate degree in early childhood and elementary education from American University, Washington DC as well as a Master's Degree in Special Education from Columbia University/Teacher's College.  Her teaching experience began at The Hoffman School Riverdale, NY, The McBurney School, NYC and Temple Har Shalom prior to joining Westminster Nursery School.  There is great satisfaction in building the foundation for learning, growing and socialization for our students.  She enjoys spending quality time with her family.  She just started biking and finding all of the great local paths.  It is always a thrill to come in contact with students in the area and see the success and happiness they have attained.

Terry Machin

Mrs. Terry  Machin is our 2 ½ year old teacher.  A graduate of Montclair State, over the past 25 years she has taught children ranging in ages from 2 ½ to 7 years old. She has worked at Westminster Nursery school since 2014.  Mrs. Machin is also a state licensed director and in her capacity as a director and during her career has been responsible for two YWCA programs and started a Daycare Program at a private church in Bergen County. She has held positions of camp director at numerous summer camps in our area.  Mrs. Machin loves to cook and travel, and is a happily married wife, mother and grandmother.

Loretta Rake

Mrs. Loretta Rake is a graduate of Berkeley College and has been teaching for 25 years. She is married with two children and has lived in Edison for 34 years. Mrs. Rake has coached softball and enjoys spending time with her grandchildren and visiting the Jersey shore. She has been with Westminster since 2016 and is thrilled to be working with such dedicated colleagues.

Lucia Hassen

Mrs. Lucia Hassen has a BA in history from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Certificate of Teaching from the College of St. Elizabeth where she also earned credits towards a Master’s degree in Education.  Her student teaching was in a first-grade class in Chatham.  She has two children and began working as a helper at Westminster when her children were students here!  She combined her love of music and teaching when she became the movement teacher before leaving to pursue her teaching certificate.  After completion she returned to Westminster Nursery school to teach the 2 ½s, 3s, 4s and Kindergarten Enrichment classes.  Mrs. Hassen loves to read (aloud and to herself!) and play the violin.

Jennifer Roggerman

Ms. Jennifer Roggerman studied education at Seton Hall University and has been teaching for over 15 years.  Her passion is teaching as she loves being a part of the learning and growing process.  She feels that to watch a child learn and grow and to see a child’s reaction as to how proud they are are such rewarding experiences.  Outside of school Ms. Roggerman loves to spend time with her huge family and friends, go to the beach, and watch the NY Giants!  She is thrilled to be joining the Westminster family as a Kindergarten Enrichment teacher.

Marianne Gonzalez

Mrs. Marianne Gonzalez has been teaching Creative Movement at Westminster since 2009. She has a Bachelor of Science degree and over 200 continuing education hours in developing age appropriate classes that utilize gross motor skills to enhance learning and increase self esteem. Mrs. Gonzalez considers herself quite fortunate because she gets to teach all the children at Westminster from ages 2 ½ through 6. Mrs. Gonzalez tries to instill her love of reading with the children, especially when sharing Kindergarten Enrichment lunch together. She looks forward to beginning each class with some new relaxing yoga poses!

Jaime Andrews

Mrs. Jaime Andrews has a BA in Psychology from Roanoke College and has experience teaching Greek language classes to kindergartners and working as an elementary school lunch aide. Jaime and her family have lived in Berkeley Heights for 13 years and she was first introduced to Westminster in 2011 when her son joined the 2 1/2 year old class and continued with the preschool program for 3 years. Jaime is excited to join WNS as a teachers' aide for the 2018-19 school year.

Eileen Vass

Mrs. Eileen Vass has been at Westminster since 2012.  She has a BS in Business Mgt. and Marketing from Kean College.  She lives in New Providence.  She has 3 boys in which 2 of the 3 went to WNS for preschool.   She is happy to be a Teachers' Aide,  substitute teacher, and Stay and Play teacher.

Betsy Harriott

Mrs. Betsy Harriott has been with Westminster since 2004.  It is rumored that she followed her children to preschool and never left.  She has a BS in mechanical engineering from Bucknell University.  Mrs. Harriott lives in Berkeley Heights with her husband and two children, both of whom attended Westminster.  She is the school's bookkeeper and webmaster.

Kelly Ulrich

Mrs. Kelly Ulrich has been with Westminster since 2014.  She has a BS in Business Administration from the University at Albany.  She has 2 children, one of whom attended Westminster when he was in preschool.  She is happy to be back  for the 2017-2018 school year.
